From the corner of my room

Today I woke up with a clear mind. I got a cup of coffee ….still with a clear mind. I sat at my bedroom window with the intention of writing my thoughts in my Morning Pages notebook, which now I am calling my common place journal.

I love my Sunday mornings when its just me, the window a notebook and a pen. I was set and ready to write my thoughts. To my surprise what I started writing was the Lords Prayer ! I wrote it in English, I wrote it in Spanish and I felt the need to write it in Maori. I do not know Te reo so I looked it up in Utube. I could only find the singing version, and that is how my morning began.

Singing Waita in a language I do not understand but yet I could feel it in my soul. I Praised the Lord … the higher power, or whatever you want to call it. All I know is that I felt my heart full of love and it felt like it was expanding. I sang to the birds in the trees outside my window, I sang to the skies …. I sang to the world from the corner in my room.

This little light of mine I’m gonna let it Shine… Let it Shine…Let it Shine… Let it Shine.

The best time of the day for me is early in the morning , when I have nowhere to go. It’s just Me, my pen, my notebook and the window.
